Well, the BIG day finally arrived and though it was a sad goodbye (for mom atleast) he had a wonderful day, made some new friends and found a teacher he really likes! We’re off to a great start!

We hung out in Napa a couple of weekends ago and got to check out Old Faithful. Apparently, there are 3 “Old Faithfuls” in the world… We visited the one in Calistoga in the northern part of the Napa Valley.

Some interesting “old faithful” facts:

-to be an “old faithful” geyser it must perform at regular intervals. This one shoots every 40 mins.

-the water from the geyser comes from an underground river that flows over hot magma

-the geyser acts as an earthquake warning

So when the tide goes out at Haystack Rock there are these AMAZING tide pools you can check out! There were TONS of sea urchins, starfish, hermit crabs and all sorts of cool creatures. These tide pools housed some of the biggest starfish we’ve ever seen. It was soooo cool! There are even a few puffins that make their home on Haystack Rock!

So I had the honor of shooting my first wedding this past weekend! But more importanly, I had the honor of being a guest aswell! This is my best friend’s (from the 2nd grade) mom who just got remarried. No one deserves this anymore than she does! She’s the sweetest, most outgoing, funniest, honest, caring, beautiul person I know. The groom, well, he’s no so bad himself I am so happy for her and her new hubby! They are so well-suited for one another. I know they are going to have a wonderful ife together!
